1. The service
PDF Signer lets you place signatures, text and check marks on PDF documents, by yourself (Quick sign) or by sending personal links to other people and collecting their signatures in one document. It is provided by the operator of this website (). By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. People who only sign a document they were sent agree to the electronic signature disclosure instead.
2. Your account
Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done through your account. You can delete it, with everything in it, at any time on the Account page.
3. What you may send, and to whom
- Only upload documents you have the right to use, and only ask people to sign who expect to hear from you. You decide who receives a document, and you are responsible towards them for how their names, addresses and signatures are used and how long they are kept.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful, to deceive or pressure anyone into signing, or to send unsolicited email. The service limits how much email an account can cause, and accounts that misuse it are disabled.
- Do not try to break, overload or get around the protections of the service, or to reach documents that are not yours.
4. What an electronic signature here is, and is not
Signatures made here are simple electronic signatures: a picture placed on the document together with a record of who signed, when, and from where, printed on a signing certificate. They are not certificate-based digital signatures. Whether such a signature is enough for a particular document, in a particular country, is for you to judge, with legal advice where it matters. The service does not give legal advice and does not check anyone's identity: a document is signed by whoever holds the link.
5. Your documents
Your documents remain yours. The service stores and shows them only to carry out what you ask of it. Download and keep your signed documents: the service is not an archive, documents can be deleted by you, by automatic deletion if it is switched on, or when an account is closed, and a deleted document can no longer be verified here. How data is handled is described in the privacy policy.
6. Availability and liability
The service is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of documents you did not keep a copy of, or for a signature turning out not to be valid for your purpose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Ending
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. The operator may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or endangers the service or other people, and may end the service; where that is possible, you will be given time to download your documents first.
8. Changes and governing law
When these terms change in substance, the version date shown at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting the new terms. These terms are governed by the law of , without taking away any protection that the law of your own country gives you as a consumer.
